On Monday May 13th, the Living Planet Symposium, an event organised by European Space Agency – ESA in collaboration with Agenzia Spaziale Italiana, kicked-off as one of the biggest Earth Observation events in the world: held every 3 years for a week and was followed from all over the world with the hashtag LPS19. This year, the symposium is in Italy and more precisely in Milan at the MiCo Milano Convention Centre.

In the opening session, ASI President Saccoccia taking inspiration from the astronaut Luca Parmitano said:

“In order to deliver a better life for our children, we need Earth observation. I recommend that everyone keeps that in mind this week.”

Also, Greta Thunberg’s message, “Our house is on fire” was proposed.

Most of the event has been focused on the subject of Climate change which is clearly visible from space.

It is possible to see the opening session recorded by ESA directly from their website: https://lnkd.in/gmvxzFT

Taitus Software is present at the Living Planet Symposium all week long, at stand 40.

The event has been very productive for us, since we met many companies who were interested in our products, in particular regarding all the functionalities that are available in our SaVoir  application and the development possibilities related to our project Hermes.

We hope to have built lasting relationships for future collaborations.
We look forward to meet everyone again at the next edition in 2022.
